How are you celebrating Indonesian Independence day with your students?

I love a good Kerupuk eating race, but the thought of dealing with food allergies had me pushing all food related activities to the side! It would be so much fun to order Indonesian food for our older kids or staff, but if you need something a little lower preparation do I have the game for you!

For this game you may need to start collecting some bottles, glass ones wont fall over as easily, but maybe weighing down some plastic bottles will work just as well. 5-6 bottles is probably enough for a class, and you will need some string or elastic and 6 pens. You could use the traditional nail, but I would rather not have students running around with nails! So pens or pencils it is!

I need to spend more time laughing with my students, and so we are going to play this game with pens and have a laugh. What game have you got organised for Hari Merdekaan?
